Getting started
First launch
Open Copita → answer 4 onboarding questions → land on the paywall. Tap Skip to use the free tier; tap Begin the journal to subscribe.
Identify a bottle
Tap the center Detect tab → point your camera at the label → wait 3–5 seconds. Free users get one Detect for lifetime; subscribers are unlimited.
Log a tasting note
After a Detect, the result screen has a single Save & note button. The sheet that opens prefills the matched bottle — add stars, flavor tags, photo, and your prose. Toggle Public to share it as a community review.
FAQ
My subscription says "Not subscribed" after I paid.
The store sometimes takes a moment to propagate the receipt. Try: Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. If it is still missing, sign in (Apple or Google) in the app and try again. If the issue persists, email us with your purchase receipt number.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Copita → Cancel. On Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Copita → Cancel. Either way the in-app Settings → Subscription screen links straight to the right place. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium until then. Deleting the Copita app does NOT cancel.
The AI got my bottle wrong.
Detect is probabilistic. If the label is blurred, partially obscured, or extremely niche, the model may miss. You can tap Add manually on the result screen to log it against the correct bottle from our catalog. Reports of consistent misidentification help us improve — email us with the bottle name and a clear photo of the label.
I want my photos / data deleted.
Two options. Opt out of AI improvement: Settings → Privacy → Improve AI detection OFF. Detection-only photos are deleted within 7 days; public tasting photos remain. Delete account entirely: Settings → Sign in → Delete account. A 30-day window applies before permanent erasure.
Why is Copita age-restricted?
Copita is rated 17+ on the App Store and 18+ on Google Play. Both stores require an adult rating for apps with substantive alcohol content, and Copita discusses bottles in detail. It is intended only for adults of legal pouring age.
When does Android arrive?
Soon. The iOS launch is first. Sign up for updates at hello@copita.co.
I found a counterfeit bottle listed as authentic.
Help us fight that. Email support@copita.co with the bottle name and any evidence (photos, receipt). We curate authenticity notes brand-by-brand and update detection guidelines.
